Job Title: Fulfillment Operator I

Team: Operations Team

Reports To: Operations Supervisor

SUMMARY:

A Fulfillment Operator I is responsible for completing orders and has expertise in Picking or Packing. A Fulfillment Operator I is expected to understand all aspects of their job and adhere to safety, quality, and production standards. Works efficiently, has a strong work ethic and is detail oriented. Maintains good attendance, flexibility in job assignments, adaptability to changing business needs by continually learning and applying new skills.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Picking:

• Utilizes a hand held scanner to receive and process assignments throughout the work day.
• Navigates a warehouse by walking to designated locations and accurately picking required items. Upon completion of an order, delivers picked items to a Packer for processing.
• Qualified to drive and operate the Order Picker and/or Wave equipment.

Packing (Metering):


• Managing items provided by Pickers from the Warehouse, adds literature, kit/combine items into boxes.
• Utilizes a computer and order management web application to accurately process orders for shipment.
• Utilizes a computer and order management web application to Meter, ensuring accurate shipping information is assigned to individual shipments.
• Uses tape to properly seal boxes and label accurately.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


• Reads and adheres to work instructions, (safety) procedures, policies and completes forms or reports.
• Accountable to meet individual productivity standards.
• Maintain 5S Standards, which entails accurately and efficiently managing items in the warehouse.
• Brings to the Attention of Supervisor for any Equipment, Material issues or workplace hazards.
• Keeps work area organized and clean.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:


• Ability to operate Machinery as needed, which is a specialization skill that needs to be developed within 3 months in Fulfillment position.
• Ability to read and interpret documents comparing product descriptions, names, shelf labels, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals.
• Intermediate interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with other employees.
• Must be willing and able to push, pull, squat, bend, and reach with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
• Must possess intermediate multi-tasking skills.
• Introductory problem solving skills identifying any Performance, Software, Equipment and Process opportunities to Operations Supervisor.
• Must be willing and able to work on powered equipment (IE forklift, Wav or cherry picker) and pass a Forklift certification within 3 months. Forklift certification required to progress to Fulfillment Operator II.
• Must possess introductory English skills able to read, write and speak English fluently and clearly.
• Must possess introductory math skills, adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
• Must have introductory computer knowledge and skills preferred.
• Ability to write routine reports and (email) correspondence as needed.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:


• Must be at least 18 years of age, possess a High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Must possess 1 year prior work experience in a warehouse and/or fulfillment environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:


• Fulfillment Operator I is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The workplace noise level is usually moderate.

Job Title: Packaging Operator I

Team: Operations Team

Reports To: Operations Supervisor

SUMMARY:

A Packaging Operator I position is responsible for performing various Packaging Operations according to Standard Operating Procedures, maintaining quality requirements. Works efficiently, has a strong work ethic and is detail oriented. Maintains good attendance, flexibility in job assignments, adaptability to changing business needs by continually learning and applying new skills.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for matching product(s) with part numbers or descriptions on work orders to verify accuracy of Packing Operations.
• Validates products according to customer specifications ensuring correct numbers of items are in each bundle, package or order.
• Places product into envelopes, boxes or other containers and fills with packing materials. Closes and seals containers, and labels containers (if necessary).
• Inspects wrapping on packages for conformance to company standards and carrier regulations.
• Reviews completed orders for errors or omissions.
• Maintains neatness on pack station and surrounding area.
