Our History

The history of the company dates back to the 1930s when one of the earliest fulfillment companies in the US, DeRidder located in Rochester, NY, was formed. In 2001, Chili Plastics, a packaging and assembly company founded in 1952, acquired DeRidder.

In August of 2004, the company was acquired by a group of investors who saw the immense potential inherent in this experienced team of industry experts. In November 2008, Complemar expanded its direct mail, digital print, packaging, fulfillment, and distribution services with the acquisition of JLH, located in Sparks, NV. In April 2009, Complemar acquired Merrill Press, located in Buffalo, NY. Merrill was originally founded as a book publisher in 1986 and grew into a commercial printer providing graphic design, offset print, POD and VOD print, and web-to-print services.

Today, Complemar provides services to Fortune 1000 customers worldwide including experience with the setup and operation of standalone facilities for multiple companies.
