Why shouldn’t I just have my printer fulfill my collateral and my premium supplier handle my promotional items?
Having collateral, POS materials and premiums in one location accessible through one ordering system is more convenient for clients and cost-effective for distribution. All materials can be sent out from a single source rather than by different suppliers. Most printers or premium vendors do not have a customizable web-based ordering system as sophisticated as COMET. Their core competency is not fulfillment and inventory management. While making drop shipments at the end of the manufacturing process may seem economical, tractability of usage and distribution is achieved when sending materials through a fulfillment centre.
How do you price your services?
Since each of our clients is unique, our pricing is determined by their specific needs. We break down our charges so they can be analyzed by the area of use and can be easily compared. Storage costs, order charges, packing materials, computer usage and distribution charges are separate lines on our proposals.
The modules and customization of COMET that are required to meet the business rules of the client determine the set up costs and monthly management fees. The frequency, volume and composition of orders contribute to the order and line item costs. Storage and packaging material costs are contrived from the type of product warehoused and shipped.
How is COMET different than other companies’ ordering systems?
COMET is adaptable software that can be customized to tailor to each client’s business rules. It is a closed loop, real-time system with no delays of transaction updates or changes. COMET is designed to provide exclusive reports to clients with a full analysis of their product usage and distribution metrics as well as order and shipment acknowledgements with direct links for order tracking. It can also control the order function of materials in multiple warehouses or create a request for on-demand printing from the client’s print supplier.
